[There's a Tifa holding a Budew in one arm, the little pokémon makes a little happy noise at the camera]

Hey, so I made it to Azalea finally and turns out my travelling partner is in that coma thing. Nurse Joy says he's been like this for a while, so I'm assuming he's doing that thing where you go to sleep for a while and wake up and suddenly you're more knowledgeable about what happens in your future.

That is still happening, right? I don't have to worry about him, or anything, right?

[She gives the 'gear a skeptical look. Then there's some sounds and Tifa looks away from the camera for a moment.]

Also... [She turns the device and now there's a weedle and a caterpie on screen.]

These two little guys have been following me around since a bit before arriving at Violet. They won't go when I tell them too, but they won't fight my Johnny or let themselves get caught, what's up with that? It's nearly been two weeks! I've been leaving them alone but with the way the nights have been recently....

I don't know...

It was fun saving him, at least. My own Drifloon liked to steal my 'gear, though.

Did your Drifloon evolve yet?

No, he never evolved. I should try to find one again, I miss having one around.

They seem really cute! I don't think my Chandelure would be happy if I got another Ghost-type though.

Hopefully you find another Drifloon!

A Chandelure? I don't think we had those when I was around....what are they like?

They're like a chandelier, but a ghost Pokémon! Fire and Ghost combination.

Oh wow! Yeah, I don't remember seeing one of those! I missed out on a lot of new pokémon!

How did you miss out on them?

There's not many other options, are there? Technology, nature, or the Pokemon themselves. Technology is the one most likely to change. So then, what happened three years ago?

[She gives him a small smile and pushes a strand of her long hair behind her ear.]

Well, it can't be helped. It wasn't fun, and I was very young at the time. But it's better than not having them around at all.

Good question! But to be honest, it seems the technology here is very different from mine back home. I still don't quite understand how the pokéballs work, much less contemplate time and space.

Well, I've been gone for nearly two years...at least so far as this place is concerned. I spent six years back home in that time, though.

Are they still around?

But most of the advanced technology is centered around the Pokemon themselves, wouldn't you say? It's a valid thing to invest energy into, given how pervasive they are in people's lives here. How would something like that lead to something which reaches between worlds?

You... left and then came back? Years later?
